Just after our photoshoot at Grand Dorsett Labuan, we had our dinner at Victoria Brassiere and hurried over to Fun Pub to witness the new Filipino band called D’Life Line. Started performing on March 1st 2010, D’Life Line replaced the old 3-month contracted The Stardust band and this new band will be performing from Mondays till Saturdays except Sundays starting at 9.30pm onwards. We enjoyed their performances that covered some very new english, chinese & hindi songs and though their music was easy to our ears, we decided to take some of their portraits to promote them. Alongside, a new DeeJay was put up here too replacing DeeJay Zul. So for those that have not been to Fun Pub since or would like to watch their repertoire, just head over and you won’t regret spending your time even with chilled iced water.

Blue Wave Lounge hosted this event and its our first time here capturing their highlights. 4 main DeeJays, 2 from the Philippines and 2 other from Brunei are battling against each other for the night’s supremacy. The resident DeeJays from the Philippines known as DJ Kima & DJ Jhon were already known as the one of the top DJs in Labuan island for their talents in remixing of Hip Hop, RnB, House & Electro tunes. While 2 DeeJays from Brunei were playing and remixing their own unique blend of Progressive & Tech House tunes in their own style. We are no DeeJays but the one thing we know that all these DeeJays played very well without major glitches. Warmed up by their resident band “D High Energy” band at 9pm and the main event began at 11.30pm and ended at 4am.

The club was awfully small, cramp and didn’t have enough strobe & laser lights but sufficient color lights were position only towards the dance floor. It didn’t really meet our expectations but we took advantage to this situation by giving some tilt & pan from our lenses to spice up the mood in our pix. Many of our favorite color effects were also added into this set so that our viewers are able to enjoy the variety of our shots. Before we forget, we were delighted to be their official photographer for this event though our buddies Kalis & Zyan Mojito came along spicing up the dance floor with their own photography style. The event ended with DeeJay E-Jump finishing off his set making this a bizarre night to be remembered. Now onto the set and please sit back, relax and let your fingers do the work.

We hurried back to Manikar from Fun Pub and to our surprise when we got there at 12.15am, number of patrons are very minimal at the 1st night. Regardless, we managed to capture a few shots before heading back to our room.

















2nd day coverage, press conference talks were presented by the organizers Nadiaz Events & Exhibition, United Silva Tiv DJs, DJ Luv, DJ Dip Disc and the Ambassador from Brunei. Following onto the coverage are scenes from the late afternoon, arrivals, backdrop shots, the main event & random poolside dunks.

This is the night… no not for this event. It was for the Beach Boutique v4 and though it was the most anticipated event happening in every 2 months once, we decided to pay a visit to our local spot for some highlights and we didn’t regret it. After we have checked into Manikar’s deluxe room courtesy from the resort’s manager Mr. Jonah Tan, we took a quick look at the early scenes of day 1 of the boutique. It was still very early and the number of patrons were unfulfilling to start our 2 nights photography journey. At 9.15pm, we arrived at Fun Pub, paid our entrance tix and these are we got. Not forgetting, the Stardust band replacing Solidtude band was performing that night so why not?

Yet another old update from one one the most favourable 5-piece band from the Philippines, the Solidtude band. Performing their final performance in Fun Pub at Dorsett Labuan, we and many of their fans will surely miss them. Members are Charro Lambatan (Keyboards), Edwin Fernadez (Guitars), Fema Kwong (Frontline), Maurenkay Llamis (Frontline) & Lorymae C Cabason (Frontline).

Another night of our none busy schedule and this time, it’s our long lost pub which were we once highly attached to. From plans to join our friends here in this classy pub, again we decided to bring our guns and tried snapping what we could get.

We always wanted to do this… Getting up close and personal with our local club bands in dark environmented clubs. We’ve managed to get onto the stage and felt very uncomfortable due our irregular faces towards the medium crowd at this night. Nonetheless and due to our anxiety to capture their performances, we took our change and with a little courage, the B’Dazzle band was the first we selected during our none busy season.

Celebrating one of our team members together with her buddy that fell on the Sept 17th in one of our favourite clubs was filled with laughter and fun. I however that took these photos didn’t even gotten myself high on boozes. Was too busy snapping away and I can’t even remember where I put my drinks. Anyway, those that have attended in this small party, we thank you all for attending and those that was invited, we’re trully sorry for not inviting cause it was a planned surprised by this birthday girl’s friends.
